Summer Travel Program
Brainerd United SC summer travel soccer is a program designed to be fun, skill building and competitive. Youth of all skill levels are welcome to play and compete in our program, from U9 to U19, girls and boys!
Our Club believes all players should have the opportunity to play and improve their skills. Brainerd United SC teams feature age and skill appropriate placement.
Teams typically practice 2-3 times per week and play in 3-4 weekend tournaments each summer. Practices start in beginning of April, immediately preceding Spring Break, with tournaments in May-June. Players may elect to join teams entering optional tournaments in April and July, and there is also a possibility of weeknight games through our agreements with local soccer associations.
Save the Date: 2026 Summer Kick-Off & Parent Meeting – Tuesday, March 31st
Practices start April 8th. (Sundays only, at Forestview Gym, until the fields are available)
U15 practice dates will start on May 18th, so those players participating in spring sports at the high school level have the opportunity to wind down those seasons. For those players whose sole sport is soccer, we will provide an additional practice-only option with the U14 teams before your official start date. Additional fee will apply.
NEW for 2026:
Starting this summer, all families will have the opportunity to help with our club fundraising. After testing numerous different avenues on how to best approach this, and listening to your feedback, the club has determined that the continuation of our Brainerd Jaycees Lil’ Rubber Duckie Race is the best way currently to support our community and our club. All players will be asked to sell 20 – $5 tickets…more information to come on this at our kickoff meeting.

Registration Closes at Noon on Sunday, March 1st, 2026!!! – Rosters will be tentatively built that evening and submitted for board approval on March 2nd.
2026 Travel Dates
*Registration numbers will dictate the team formation, which will be finalized in March. Tournament dates may change. All players should expect to attend 3-4 tournaments, which will be determined by registration numbers, age, and or team makeup.
Teams for Player Ages U8 – U19 (Birth Years 2018 – 2007)
The birth year of your player is used to determine the age group they fall into. See matrix below, please note that the 2026-2027 season starts in the fall of 2026.
Player Registration fees will be dependent on the age group for which the player participates. Fees include: State and National Soccer Association dues, Registration fees for 3-4 scheduled tournaments, Administration costs and Coaching fees.
U8-U14: $450 plus uniform fee if applicable
U15+: $350 plus uniform fee if applicable
The season for U8-U14 players will begin on April 6th. Indoor at Forestview (Sundays) until weather permits outdoor practice.The season for U15+ Players will begin on May 18th to allow time for those multi-sport athletes in high school time to transition. U15+ Players whose primary sport is soccer will be provided the opportunity to practice with the U14 team for an additional fee prior to their team’s season beginning.

Scholarships are available for those families in need, first come first serve, and up to 50% of registration fee. This information is strictly confidential. PLAYERS BRAND NEW TO LAYSA: If you are new to LAYSA, our registrar will need a copy of your child’s state certified birth certificate or a copy of their passport to submit to US Club soccer for their player card. If you have played with LAYSA previously, we will have it on file. These items will be required to be uploaded before you can complete registration.

The Brainerd United uniform program is “forever” uniforms. All components can be replaced by each family as of need, instead of every 2 years.

A uniform sizing day will be held on March 3rd and March 4th at Baia Della from 4:00-7:00PM. All current jersey numbers will be retained by the players wherever possible.
Players new to Brainerd United will be charged individually for their uniform set in April. Those returning players can order replacements as needed directly through STIMULUS HERE.
